Paul Drennan-Durose - Chief Executive Officer
Appointed in 2018, Paul joined as CEO of Heliex Power Ltd at a particularly challenging time. He has provided decisive, focused and clear direction for the Board & the organisation.
With a vast array of multi-sector leadership experience, Paul has a background of successfully directing diverse, complex businesses internationally in dynamic environments.
David Milton BAcc CA – Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer
David joined the Heliex leadership team in November 2014 as Chief Financial Officer and in 2018 was also appointed Chief Operating Officer.
He trained with KPMG before joining The JPM Company UK Ltd and subsequently became a Finance Director at Scottish Enterprise. David was then CFO of Howco Materials Management PLC & at retailer Internacionale Limited.
David has a degree in Accountancy from The University of Glasgow and is a Chartered Accountant at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
Dr Marco Iezzi PhD – Thermodynamics and Product Planning Director
A native of Italy, Marco initially had responsibility for conceptual design, prototyping & product testing. Today, Marco leads thermodynamics & mathematical modelling as part of a broader role.
This broader role majors on the the definition of the company’s product ranges through the investigation, analysis & matching of technology, markets, legislation as well as economic & industrial trends.
Marco has a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Managerial Engineering and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of L’Aquila, Italy.
Professor Dan Wright MBE, BSc, CEng, FIMechE. – Chief Technology Officer
Dan studied aeronautics at Glasgow University. Having progressed through several major engineering companies including Ford, he formed Albion Automotive Industries. In 2000 he became MD of Johnston Sweepers Ltd & in 2010 he founded Heliex Power Ltd.
A visiting professor at City University London, Dan has also held several non-executive directorships. He has served on several government advisory bodies and was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to engineering.
